Information on the Artist

Born in Kazan, Russia in 1961;
Attended The Fine Art School and won a gold medal in the International Children's Art Competition in Paris when still at school.

In 1980 she graduated from the famous Phoeshin Art College in Kazan followed by thirteen years spent as a leading theatre  designer at the State Youth Theatre.

In 1997 Marina left Russia to live in the Czech Republic. One year after arrival in the country she was seriously injured in a traffic accident that resulted in nearly every bone of her body having been broken. However, despite the horrific trauma and long-term recovery, she went on and in the following year founded her own art gallery displaying her personal work.

During the first year of the gallery's existence more than 230 paintings were bought by private collectors from the USA, England, Japan, Italy, Germany and Austria.

Marina mostly produces her work using brush and pallet knife with oil on canvas, but she also paints in watercolour. The artist is equally accomplished in landscapes, still life, town images and portraiture.

In the UK Marina exhibited widely at Fairfield Halls, Gallery 47, Paul Hawkins Gallery and The Garden of Eden Art Gallery.

She currently lives and works in the
the Czech Republic with her husband and two daughters.
